About

Me & Mom aka: my quilting coach and best friend for life.

I will be finishing my last semester at college this fall and have put myself through school with my long arm quilting business. My mom Nancy started the business 10 years ago when I was fifteen. A year later she also opened a quilt shop. While working there I discovered my love of quilting. By age 19 I took a serious interest in learning how to long arm quilt and was tutored by my very talented mother. She’s my best friend and quilt coach. Before long I was quilting for customers. QLC thrived and grew to be 3,000 square feet of quilting oasis. Eventually my mom decided to sell the quilt shop and opened a knit shop in Raleigh called YarnBirds. As all that was unfolding I began to take over our longarm quilting business, and now I run it on my own. Today at age 24, I am addicted to long arm quilting and absolutely love my job. This past May I took a week long business trip to IMQA in Kansas. Taking classes with the big dogs (Claudia Pfeil, Linda Taylor, etc.) left me inspired to take my quilting to the next level. It is my goal to design a show quilt in the near future. As you can see from my website, I continue offering my customers fresh ideas and original designs. I will be posting more of my latest work soon, so stay tuned!

Bethany your quilting is fabulous! When I get my Bali wedding star done I am definitely sending it south! Very awesome! I got to you via Quilt Dad (John Adams).

    Hugs & stitches,
